Both Ward 2 councillors in the City of Belleville will be seeking reelection in this fall’s municipal election.
Kathryn Brown filed nomination papers on Friday morning.
Paul Carr filed earlier in the week.
In a social media post, Brown called it a privilege to serve the residents of Ward 2.
She was first elected in 2022.
She says that after almost 40 years in the banking industry, being a small business owner, and a volunteer with a number of charitable organizations, her record shows that she is fiscally prudent and has an obligation to ensure that taxpayers receive the best for the services experienced.
The municipal election is October 21, 2026.
Nominations close August 21.
