Amanda Robertson, Trustee for the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board, has announced she is running for re-election.
In a press release, Robertson said she was proud of the progress the board made over her previous term, and that continued progress requires trustees who can work collaboratively together.
“As trustees, we have a responsibility to ensure transparency and accountability to the communities we serve,” said Robertson. “Following strong processes helps us stay focused on what matters most, student success and well-being.”
Robertson has served as both Vice Chair and Chair of the Audit Committee and the Student Well-Being, Equity and Learning Committee, and as an active member of the Finance Committee. Robertson has also represented HPEDSB provincially as a director and current voting delegate with the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association.
Elections will be held in October.
