Brighton will have a Tourism Booth this summer.
This week council authorized staff to begin the process of staffing, maintaining and implementing a business plan to reopen the Tourism Booth along Presqu’ile Parkway.
Staff were authorized to transfer $12,000 from the Contingency Reserve to operate the booth for the 2026 summer season.
The Tourism Booth was previously operated by the Brighton-Cramahe Chamber of Commerce but has been closed since the discontinuation of the Chamber.
With Presqu’ile Park hosting over 400,000 visitors in 2025, the municipality sees a great opportunity to offer visitor information and point people in the direction of local businesses for any services or supplies they need while camping or visiting Brighton.
Staff will revitalize the tourism booth before its opening.
A summer student will be hired to work at the booth which will likely operate approximately 25 hours per week from Thursday to Sunday and holidays.
The booth will be stocked with relevant tourism and visitor information for Brighton, Northumberland County, Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board, Brighton DBIA and more.
