It’s been a bit of an adventure, we’re an expansion team, we’re the seventh team in this league, so with no starting player base, we had to rely on some of the draft picks from Cobourg. We did have some open tryouts.”
He says they will call the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre home.
“We’re playing out of the Wally Dever, it’s a little smaller too, which hopefully we can fill the barn and get ‘er rocking pretty good.”
Those experiencing the action will get a high tempo game according to Hill.
“A lot of these guys, they played Junior A lacrosse, Junior B lacrosse, some of them are NCAA athletes, Division 2, Division 1. Their goal is to play Senior A and in the MSL and to play in the NLL.”
“It’s a great game, it’s similar to hockey in the sense that it is very physical, it’s very fast-paced. It’s definitely one that people seem to enjoy checking out, whether it’s their first time or their first time in 40 years.”

Their first-ever game is Friday May 8 at 8 p.m. in Whitby against the Brooklin Merchants, with their home opener at the Wally Dever on Saturday May 9 at 7 p.m. against the Owen Sound North Stars.
