Prince Edward County is donating a pumper truck to the Hastings Prince Edward Regional Training Centre in memory of Jim Young.
Young was a Deputy Chief with the Belleville Fire Department and spent much of his career with the Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue Department before coming to Belleville in 2023.
Municipal leaders, fire service representatives, and members of the Young family will take part in a ceremony recognizing Jim Young’s lifelong dedication to public service.
The ceremony will take place on Thursday at the Hastings and Prince Edward Regional Training Centre.
