The Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks approved amendments to the Quinte Source Protection Plan, Assessment Report and Explanatory Document.
The approval took effect on April 30.
The amendment includes better source protection measures for the prescribed instrument policies, and better alignment with the 2021 technical rules under the Clean Water Act.
The Quinte Source Protection Plan includes 23 new policies to address drinking water threats and protect local drinking water sources from potential contamination.
