Public Mischief
On May 3, 2026, Belleville police responded to three calls for service regarding a male requesting EMS assistance despite reporting no new medical concerns. At 3:05 p.m., police responded to the third call for service after the male contacted EMS a third time while indicating no change in his condition. Upon further investigation, it was reported that the individual had contacted EMS several times over the past week.
As a result, Daniel Gilby, a 31-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with public mischief. He was released on an undertaking with a scheduled court date in July.
Shoplift
On May 1, 2026 at 6:15 p.m., Belleville police responded to a report of theft at a business located on North Front Street. Employees reported observing a female conceal merchandise in a bag before leaving the store without paying. Upon investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect.
As a result of investigation, Jennifer O’Hara, a 47-year-old Belleville woman of no fixed address, was located, arrested, and charged with:
· Fail to comply with a probation order
· Theft under $5000 x2
She was released on an undertaking with a scheduled court date in July.
