Belleville police have charged a teenager who allegedly threatened fellow students with a knife at an east-end high school.
Police began an investigation on Wednesday after it was reported a male approached students and displayed the handle of a knife, which was concealed inside a backpack.
A 16-year-old male was arrested on Thursday and charged with:
· Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
· Carrying concealed weapon
· Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm
· Assault with a weapon
· Fail to comply with release order
· Fail to comply with sentence
He was held for a bail hearing.
The accused’s identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
