Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for the Quinte region.
Patchy frost is expected as temperatures drop to near or below freezing beginning the overnight hours into early Friday morning.
The weather agency says damage to plants, trees, and crops is possible.
It is suggested that people cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.
