Former Trenton Mayor Neil Robertson, who served from 1982 to 1997, has passed away.
Robertson first entered the political arena when he was elected to the Trenton separate school board, serving as chairman from 1966 to 1969.
He would later be elected to Trenton council in 1970 serving one term, and was reelected to council in 1979.
Robertson would become the mayor of Trenton on March 15, 1982 and served in that capacity until the end of term in 1997.
