A fast response by Belleville rural firefighters kept fire damage to a house in Thurlow ward to a minimum early Saturday morning.
Crews from Stations 3 and 4 were called out at 2:07 a.m. to a large 2 storey brick home in the 200 block of River Road.
Fire damage was held to just one upper floor bedroom with some smoke and water damage in the rest of the house.
