The Hastings and Prince Edward Learning Foundation (HPELF) has been selected as the charitable partner for this year’s Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign in Madoc and Marmora.
This annual campaign is held across Canada from April 27 to May 3, when Tim Hortons donates 100% of the proceeds from these iconic smiling cookies to local charities and community groups.
Every dollar raised will benefit Food for Learning programs in all schools where student nutrition programs are available.
“We are incredibly grateful for this partnership and the continued support of our local community. The SMILE cookie campaign provides necessary funding to help us maintain student nutrition programs throughout Hastings and Prince Edward. Every cookie purchased represents a meal or snack provided in a local school,” says Kellie Brace, Executive Director of The Learning Foundation. “It is a true community effort when we come together to ensure our students are well fed and ready to excel in the classroom, providing them with the best possible start for a successful day of learning. With over 7,100 students participating in a Food for Learning program every school day, I want to extend a sincere thank you on behalf of every student for making this possible.”
“This campaign is all about the power of a smile. When you purchase a Smile Cookie, you aren’t just getting a treat—you’re providing a meal and a message of support to a local student,” says Vicky Struthers, Program Coordinator at The Learning Foundation. “ Seeing the community rally together to ensure every child is well-nourished and ready to learn is truly inspiring. Thank you for making local students’ well-being a priority, one smile at a time.”
This campaign is always a highlight for HPELF, as it is incredible to witness the overwhelming support from the Madoc and Marmora Tim Hortons, local community members, and area organizations.
Food for Learning programs are a pillar upon which student success rests, and The HPE Learning Foundation thanks each and every person for their ongoing commitment to student nutrition and well-being.
To help sustain this vital work, the HPELF is encouraging community members, businesses, and local organizations to place a bulk Smile Cookie order by using the form HERE for pickup in Madoc or Marmora.
