Mount St Mary’s University and Quinte Legion Lynx thrower Aidan Crawford captured “ALL EAST” honors in discus at the 149th annual IC4A Championships at Rutgers University in New Jersey this past weekend placing 8th out of 32 qualifiers for this years event.
The IC4A’s, Intercollegiate Association of Amateur Athletes of America is the oldest track meet in North America had their first outdoor championships in 1876 and has only not run once, due to covid in 2020.
Next year will mark their 150th anniversary.
Last weekend Crawford, the former Eastside Secondary School student captured his second medal of the season, a bronze at the James Madison University Invitational in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
The freshman has made the finals in all 4 outdoor meets this year in discus.
Next week, Crawford will compete in both discus and javelin at the Jim Freeman/Clark Wood Invitational in Louisville, Kentucky on the campus of the University of Louisville.
The Metro Atlantic Athletics Conference Championship will be the last meet on the calendar at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland May 9th-10th where Crawford will compete in discus, shot put and javelin.
