Quinte West firefighters made quick work of a small fire inside a motel room early Sunday morning.
The fire department, along with Quinte West OPP and Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services, was called to the Bayside Motel on Old Highway 2 after reports of smoke inside one of the units just after 3 a.m.
The fire was put out very quickly and damage was minor.
A 17-year-old male was taken to Trenton Memorial Hospital for assessment.
An investigation continues.
