In its upcoming forecast, Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Quinte Region regarding rain showers.
Between 10 and 20 mm of rainfall are expected on Saturday. Due to previous rains, the ground is already fully saturated and may not be able to absorb the water.
Area residents are being warned that the water could pool on roads or in low-lying areas, and are encouraged to check for flood warnings or watches with local conservation authorities.
