The building that once served as the Build Belleville office and Bistro 116, has become sacred ground.
Over the weekend, 116 Pinnacle Street in Belleville was consecrated as a Hindu temple.
On Sunday. many hundreds gathered for what is called a “Prasad Pravesh ceremony.”
The temple will serve for the Hindu denomination called Swaminarayan (BAPS).

The “mandir” (place of worship) will serve as a centre for spiritual, cultural, and community activities for individuals of all ages.
Planned initiatives include children’s and youth programs, language classes, and traditional music education, all aimed at preserving Hindu traditions, heritage, and values.
The temple is open to all members of the community who are interested in learning more about Hindu culture and spirituality.
