Building activity report

Proposed construction activity in Prince Edward County last month was a little less
than in March of last year.

The county says 42 building permits were issued for a value of $8.6 million.

Included in the total were 15 permits for new single-family homes, with one being
worth $1.4 million and another worth $1 million.

Last year in March 56 permits were issued with a construction value of $12.6 million.
