A totally reworked plan for waterfront property near Belleville’s Ramada Inn will be up for a decision by the city’s Planning Advisory Committee on Tuesday.
The land in question is between the hotel and Crate Marina and original development plans called for three 15-storey condominium towers with commercial space to be built.
However, that was 12 years ago and now developers hope to build 213 residential units with most of them being townhouses, along with a low-rise and a mid-rise multi-unit building.
City staff are recommending the committee recommend council approve the developer’s rezoning application to allow the project to proceed.
The planning meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday and will be live streamed.
