A request will be coming at the next meeting of the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board, from Trustee Ernie Parsons.
The Sidney/Frankford Trustee filed a Notice of Motion for a provincial takeover the of board.
“Thank you, Chair. At the next regular board meeting, I will move or cause to be moved the following motion: that the Minister of Education be requested to take control of the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board and appoint a supervisor for the board”.
He did not expand on the reasons for his request or whether they were related to other discussion in the meeting.
The Notice of Motion will be before trustees at the April 27, 2026 meeting of the board.
