A 25-year-old motorist stopped for speeding was also nabbed for impaired driving in Quinte West.
Late Sunday night, Quinte West OPP stopped a speeding vehicle on Highway 2.
During the investigation, the officer utilized an Approved Screening Device.
The driver was arrested and transported to detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation Kaleb Beere of Belleville was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Speeding 1-49 km/h over posted limit
- Fail to notify change of address
- Fail to have insurance card
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on May 14, 2026.
Additionally, the vehicle was impounded for seven days, and licence suspended for 90 days.
