The Council of the Municipality of Brighton will hold a Statutory Public Meeting on:
Monday, April 13, 2026
6:30 p.m.
Take further notice that the purpose of this public meeting is to consider Version 2 of the Draft Brighton Secondary Plan, pursuant to Sections 17 and 21 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended.
Take further notice that the Secondary Plan will undergo a name change to Area-Wide Efficient Land Use Plan.
Purpose of the Meeting:
The Draft Secondary Plan provides a comprehensive planning framework to guide long-term growth and development within the designated Secondary Plan Areas (SPAs) of the Municipality of Brighton.
The Plan establishes:
• A land use framework for the Northeast, Northwest and Southwest Secondary
Plan Areas
• Residential density and housing mix policies
• Commercial and mixed-use areas
• Environmental Protection Areas
• Parks, open space and community facilities
• Transportation and active transportation networks
• Infrastructure and servicing direction
• Implementation and phasing policies
Version 2 of the Draft Secondary Plan incorporates comments received from members of the public, agencies, and stakeholders during earlier consultation phases.
The purpose of this Statutory Public Meeting is to:
• Receive additional public input; and
• Provide council with the opportunity to consider endorsement of Version 2 of the Draft Secondary Plan.

A copy of the Draft Secondary Plan, including schedules and supporting materials, will be available for public review on the municipality’s website before Friday, March, 27, 2026:
