Tragic, inspiring, lifesaving – the Graham Redner legacy

With the one-year anniversary of the worst day of their life on the horizon, a local family wants tragedy to turn to hope and awareness

On April 5, 2025, eight-month-old Graham Redner passed away in hospital from influenza A which eventually led to cardiac arrest.

Graham’s mother Tristin says she, her husband Dan, along with children Gavin and Everly, want to create hope and raise awareness.

The Foxboro mother spoke to Quinte News about a decision the family made during Graham’s passing.

“Graham was an organ donor. He just had the sweetest, kindest personality, and I wanted to keep the kindness going.”

The family created Graham’s Gift.

“People can take a card, they can find them at local businesses, which are on our Instagram at @grahamsgift . When they do something kind for someone, big or small, and then pass the card along so that it keeps spreading.”

The cards, which you can see below, are meant as a way of spreading Graham’s love and the message of hope.

“I think we could all use a little bit more kindness, especially in today’s day and age. For us it’s a way to continue his memory and his legacy. I think when you lose a child your greatest fear is that your child will be forgotten.”

The cards are also meant to spread the lifesaving message of organ donation.
