Last week, the Calgary Flames draft pick scored the game winner in overtime, as Merrimack knocked off the Providence Friars 3-2, booking their spot in the Hockey East final four.
This past Friday evening, also at “The Garden,” Merrimack beat UMass Amherst 2-0 in the semi-finals.
In the final against UCONN, Merrimack was outshot 50-25, including 22-7 in the third period.
It is Merrimack’s first Hockey East title in program history.
Hoskin and the Warriors are now in the Frozen Four tournament and will meet another powerhouse on Thursday, North Dakota.
