Strong goaltending is the key to winning in the playoffs and the Frankford Huskies netminder Liam Boyer backstopped his team to a 4 to 2 win over the Lakefield Chiefs Saturday nights.
Boyer turned away 42 of the 44 shots he faced in game one of the Jr. C Tod Division final.
Frankford fired 34 shots at the Lakefield net.
Scoring for the Huskies were Avery Wease, Keegan Juchau, Blake Ellis, and Jack Kuipers.
Game 2 is Monday night at 7 o’clock in Frankford.
