The Mayor of Centre Hastings is wishing to clarify his municipalities position on a high speed rail corridor through the Quinte region.
At Tuesday’s Hastings County Finance, Property, and Personnel meeting, Tom Deline said the municipality has not put a stamp of opposition or support on the project, for pushing trains from Quebec City to Toronto.
His full comment can be heard below
The main opposition of the project is coming from the southern corridor proposal, which would run through northern Northumberland County, possibly Quite West, Stirling-Rawdon, Thurlow, Tyendinaga Township, into Lennox and Addington County.
