In the first round of the OJHL playoffs, the Wellington Dukes are in tough against the Pickering Panthers.
Pickering defeated Wellington 3-1 on Sunday and now have a two-games-to-none lead in the best-of-seven series.
Cain Tucker scored for the Dukes while Dryden Riley was outstanding in goal in the loss as Wellington was outshot
48 to 26.
Game 3 is Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 in Pickering.
Meanwhile, the Trenton Golden Hawks also play a Game 3 tomorrow at home against the Lindsay Muskies. The G-Hawks
lead two games to none. Puck drops at 7:30.
In Jr. C action, a Tod Division semifinal, the Frankford Huskies beat the Napanee Raiders 5-1 and are up two games to none
in the best of seven. Game 3 is Thursday in Frankford.
In the other semifinal, the Picton Pirates visit Lakefield Tuesday at 7:30. The Chiefs lead the series one game to none.
And in the Northern Premier Hockey League, the Tweed Oil Kings have a stranglehold in their best of five with the Deseronto Bulldogs, edging them 6-5 on Sunday. Tweed can take the semifinal with a win on Saturday in Deseronto.
