Gas prices are jumping and they are jumping quickly.
On the Lorne Brooker Show on Tuesday, Canadians for Affordable Energy President Dan McTeague said we are in the middle of several increases in short order.
He says diesel will be going up 13 cents a litre today (Wed.) and another 13 or 14 cents on Thursday.
“So that $1.25, $1.27, $1.28 (a litre), going to $1.35, $1.36 (yesterday – Tuesday), will tomorrow (Wednesday) be $1.42, $1.43. It’s up net six cents a litre wholesale. The following day (Thursday), another six cents a litre. If you’re paying $1.35, it’s a $1.41, $1.42 tomorrow (Wednesday) and by Thursday $1.47, $1.48, pushing towards $1.50 (a litre).
