The Belleville Police Service Drug & Intelligence Unit, Emergency Response Unit and K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop in Belleville’s east end, followed by a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant in Kingston’s west end on Monday.
Police say they seized a quantity of fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine and Canadian currency.
As a result of police investigation, the following persons were arrested and charged:
Thirty-one-year-old Bobby Grant of Kingston was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
- Possession of proceeds under $5000
Sixty-three-year-old Patrick Grant of Kingston was charged with the following offences and held for a bail hearing:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking –methamphetamine
- Possession of proceeds under $5000
Additionally, Patrick Grant was wanted on two outstanding warrants from Peel Region and Kingston.
