Half-load restrictions will be in effect in Quinte West starting on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026.
In the spring, the City of Quinte West will restrict the operation of motor vehicles heavier than 5,000 kg (5 tonnes per axle) on designated roads as part of the Highway Traffic Act.
Half-load restrictions protect Ontario’s highways during the spring thaw when road damage is most likely to occur.
