The Member of Parliament for Northumberland-Clarke says the Liberal’s federal budget doesn’t tell the whole story when it comes
to the government’s deficit.
Philip Lawrence tells Quinte News the $62 billion projected deficit in the budget is bad enough but there’s other borrowing not included
in the budget that in reality is adding tens of billions of dollars on top of the $60 billion.
While acknowledging the Trump tariffs are a challenge to Canada’s economy Lawrence also said the Liberals could have provided
immediate help to Canadians by cutting gas taxes and offering more affordability measures in the budget.
