Grab your spoon!
The Savour the Chill soup competition is making a return to the heart of downtown Belleville for its 22nd year on February 21.
More than 15 businesses will be serving up delicious soups.
This year’s event will continue its tradition of the People’s Choice Award, voted by soup samplers, and the Judges’ Choice Award, determined by a panel of esteemed judges from the community.
This year’s judging panel includes Belleville Police Service; Chief Murray Rodd, John Mathers; Vice President of Hockey Operation for the Belleville Senators, Dominique McIntyre; real estate agent and downtown business owner, Joshua Blake; chef and restaurateur of Jerkabago and Josh’s Diner as well as the winner of our social media contest, Eric Gainer.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own spoons.
Sprague Cannery is generously sponsoring serving cups for the event.
Savour the Chill runs, snow or shine, from noon to 3 p.m. on February 21.
