Seven members of the Quinte Legion Lynx Track Club came away with four medals at the Athletics Ontario U18 and Open Championships in Toronto over the weekend.
On the women’s side, Isla Bibby captured the silver medal in open women’s pole vault with a leap of 3.30m.
Charlee Sage won bronze in U18 girls pole vault with a jump of 3.10m.
Sage had also placed eighth in 60m hurdles with a personal best time of 9.47 seconds.
Rounding out was Sydney Johnson who placed fifth in open woman’s weight throw, launching a seasonal best throw of 12.23m
For the men, Griffin Coffey captured bronze in open men’s pole vault with a personal best jump of 3.75m.
Josh Scott rounded out the medal haul for the Lynx with a bronze medal in open men’s high jump with a leap of 1.94m.
Lynx U18 athletes Ben Poyner placed fourth (3.50m) and Hudson Brown was fifth in U18 boys poll vault (3.20m).
The seven Quinte Legion Lynx athletes combined for 24 points to place 12th out of 47 clubs in the province.
