It was a slower start to the year for building activity in Quinte West.
The municipality issued 33 permits with a construction value of $3.4 million last month, lower than the 48 permits worth $6 million in January of 2025.
Last month’s largest permit was issued to Staikos Homes for onsite services for a piece of property on Highway 2 in Trenton’s west end.
There were also permits issued for five storage buildings for a property on Tate Road.
