Prince Edward County Council will be hearing about the work being done in county schools by the Hastings Prince Edward Learning Foundation at its meeting Tuesday.
The Foundation provides free nutritious meals and snacks to students in both counties as many arrive at school without a proper breakfast.
Council will be seeing some big numbers. In all schools in Hastings and Prince Edward counties 1.5 million meals and snacks were served in the 2024-25 school year.
In Prince Edward alone almost 187,000 were served with an average of 833 students participating in 7 schools.
