Fralick spoke to Quinte News while she was watching Team Canada’s Women’s Hockey team play Switzerland.
She says the atmosphere is incredible so far.
“Taking in skating, watching Trennt and Lia become Olympians, stepping on the ice to compete for the first time was a tearjerker to say the least.”
Team Canada is currently sitting in fourth and Michaud and Pereira will compete in the long program for Canada as well.
“There’s a sense of calm here when I’m watching him skate, it’s really amazing. So, they skated well yesterday (Feb 6), they were all happy and smiles. I got a message from him saying I heard you mom, so I was loud enough for him to know I was there.”
“Took in the opening ceremonies, which was just breathtaking. I don’t know how many times I cried during that entire ceremony. Seeing the Canadian team walk in was something I still am unable to put into words. My seats were fantastic. I was actually sitting close to where the Canadian team was sitting. Trennt found me and waved, which was another tearjerker for me. It’s been amazing.”
We will continue to follow Fralick’s journey throughout the games.
