The province’s Special Investigations Unit has taken over the investigation into a single vehicle collision overnight in Belleville that sent one person to hospital.
Belleville Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a vehicle for traffic violations late Sunday night.
Police say the driver of the vehicle refused to pull over and was involved in a collision in the area of Bridge Street East and George Street.
As a result of the incident, the driver of the suspect vehicle was transported to hospital.
The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate and, as a result, Belleville Police will not be releasing any more information about the incident.
