Belleville police have charged a man for allegedly threatening to stab a woman.
Just before 1 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the city’s west end where the male had reportedly threatened to attend a female’s residence and stab her.
A few hours later, officers located, arrested and charged a 41-year-old Belleville man with uttering threats.
While the male was in custody, police say he spat on an officer and was charged additionally with assaulting a peace officer.
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
