Quinte Health is celebrating two milestones in 2026.
Belleville General Hospital is marking 140 years of care while it is the 75th anniversary of Trenton Memorial Hospital.
Quinte Health President and CEO Stacey Daub says as part of its celebrations, Trenton Memorial Hospital is holding a 75th anniversary photo shoot on February 25 inviting anyone born at the hospital to participate.
“Whenever I’m out in the community and I meet someone, they are so proud to tell me they were born in Trenton or they were born in Belleville. I think there is pride in connection to those hospitals and the history.”
Over the coming months, Quinte Health will be recognizing the milestones at both hospitals with special events and moments.
“I was just in the hallway today and I saw a gentleman, he was a bit lost, and I talked to him and he, you know, he said his dad worked in maintenance here for over 42 years and how it shaped his life and how much service he gave to his community. So we want to celebrate and really think about all the people that came before us.”
