There weren’t any more snowfall records set over the last couple of days but there were new records for the amount of snow on the ground.
On Monday, there were 65 centimetres of snow on the ground, according to readings taken at CFB Trenton, a record for January 26.
That number was 61 cm on Tuesday, January 27, also a record.
Though Wednesday isn’t over yet, another record is likely to be set today as the current record for snow on the ground on January 28 is 47 cm set in 2022.
Snow squall warnings are in effect for the region once again today, with a few more centimetres of snow forecast. As much as 10-15 cm could fall in Prince Edward County.
