Bancroft OPP have arrested one person and laid multiple charges after a breach of probation.
Police say in a release that an individual suspected of breaching release conditions, was spotted in the Town of Bancroft.
The suspect was arrested and a search resulted in the discovery of suspected methamphetamine and suspected fentanyl.
Forty-five-year-old Heidi Brethour of Bancroft has been charged with the following:
- Fail to Comply with a probation order – 3 counts
- Fail to comply with a release order – 5 counts
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – two counts
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
The accused was held for bail and remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on January 27, 2026.
