The Belleville General Hospital Foundation is celebrating after a major $100,000 donation from the BGH Auxiliary.
The donation will go towards redevelopment of the Belleville General Hospital’s fracture clinic, and brings the total raised for the project up to $200,000. There is less than $250,000 remaining needed to reach the project’s goal.
The cheque was formally presented at the auxiliary’s annual holiday lunch.
“The holidays are a time for giving, and supporting our hospital is at the heart of what we do,” said Paul Reesor, BGHA president. “Our members are incredibly proud to support the Fracture Clinic redevelopment. Many of us, our families, and our neighbours have relied on fracture care at BGH. This gift reflects our commitment to helping close out this project so patients and hospital staff have the space and resources they need.”
The Fracture Clinic redevelopment at Belleville General Hospital will improve care for patients recovering from broken bones. The clinic sees thousands of patients each year.
