The Trenton Golden Hawks beat the Aurora Tigers 8-5 on Saturday.
Beckett Ewart, Jack Ziliotto, Andrew Wycisk, and Jamie Darlison scored for the Golden Hawks, with Darlison earning a hat trick.
The Tigers opened scoring with two unanswered first period goals. In the second period, the Golden Hawks came back with three back-to-back goals to take the lead, but the Tigers answered with two goals of their own to take back the lead going into the final frame. In the third period, the Golden Hawks scored five goals. With the Tigers only scoring one final goal, they couldn’t keep up, and the Golden Hawks took the game.
The Golden Hawks are back in action on Tuesday, travelling to face the St. Michael’s Buzzers.
