The numbers are in for building in November in Quinte West.
Fifty-five permits were issued with a combined value of $28,715,000. In November of 2024, 86 permits were issued with a value of $15,373,000.
The value of the construction permits was boosted by one permit in particular, for an industrial site on Huff Avenue in the North Murray Industrial Park in Trenton.
That permit is for the Derry & Tomken Business Centre, with a permit to construct a 140,000-square-foot building.
Of the 55 permits issued, 18 were for new residential construction, with a value of $8,224,000.
So far this year, 536 permits have been issued for construction, with a combined value of $149,179,500. This is a slight decrease from this time in 2024, with 620 permits issued worth $184,021,500.
