Peterborough OPP have charged a driver after a traffic accident on Tuesday.
On Tuesday afternoon, officers responded to the scene of an accident on Lakefield Road in Selwyn Township. Witnesses to the incident said one vehicle crossed the centre line and struck another oncoming vehicle. Officers spoke to the driver and determined them to be impaired.
Michael Rose, a 65-year-old from Douro-Dummer Township, was arrested and charged with operation while impaired.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough in January. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and vehicle was impounded for seven days.
