Belleville police officers managed to calm down a potentially violent domestic dispute on Saturday.
Police responded around 6 o’clock Saturday evening after a woman called saying a man was holding a knife to his (own) neck while threatening people at an east end apartment.
Officers diffused the situation and managed to have the man taken to hospital for an assessment without incident.
After being discharged he was charged with three counts of breaching an undertaking.
His name will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
