A large number of police vehicles blocked a vehicle, reported stolen, at a Highway 401 restaurant at Odessa on Monday.
The suspect vehicle had been reported stolen to Toronto police a few hours earlier.
Officers of the Lennox and Addington OPP responded to reports of a stolen vehicle potentially travelling east on Highway 401 heading towards L&A County.
Officers observed the vehicle travelling east at Palace Road.
Officers followed the suspect vehicle where it exited at the Odessa ONroute, where it was blocked in by multiple police vehicles.
The lone male driver was arrested without incident.
Lennox and Addington OPP have charged 37-year-old Pier-Oliver Laprise of Vaudreull-Dorion, QC, with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
- Possessing automobile master key
- Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine
The accused was held for a bail hearing and released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on a later date.
