The Belleville General Hospital Foundation has announced its 2023 fundraiser gala.
The gala is being held on September 16 at The Grand in Belleville. The event is themed after the movie Moulin Rouge, and will feature a three-course meal and live music entertainment. Tickets will cost $250 each.

The event, sponsored by CIBC and McDougall Insurance, will be raising money to replace various pieces of aging equipment from X-ray machines to mammography equipment.
“The need is growing at the hospital, far beyond our current capacity. And really to be honest those critical equipment pieces are across multiple departments,” said Steve Cook, Executive Director for the BGHF.

BGHF Vice Chair Bob Doyle(Left), and Executive Director Steve Cook(Right) with BGHF Mascot Max the Medical Moose(Center) announce the theme for this year’s annual BGHF Fundraiser Gala.
Ross McDougall from McDougall Insurance, one of the event sponsors, said it was important to help support the BGHF.
“I don’t think there’s a cause more worthwhile in our community than Belleville General Hospital. It’s important to the social fabric of our community, the health of our community,” said McDougall “It can’t be overstated how much we need to support Belleville General Hospital.”
Tickets can be purchased on the BGHF website here.
