Remembrance Day ceremonies are going ahead in Belleville and Quinte West this year with obserervances in Prince Edward County scaled down to just Consecon.
Public ceremonies will not be held in Picton or Wellington but wreaths are being placed in advance at the cenotaphs and people are encouraged to visit the cenotaphs to mark the day on their own time, while respecting physical distancing.
There will be a service open to the public at the Consecon cenotaph.
Wreaths will also be laid out in advance with the exception of few that will be placed by the Mayor and some family members.
There will be no reception following the service.
In Belleville, Trenton and Frankford, ceremonies are being held with precautions.
There will be no colour parades and veterans and VIPs will be in cordoned off sections at the Belleville and Trenton cenotaphs.
Wreaths are also being laid out in advance.
CJBQ is broadcasting the Trenton ceremony with coverage set to start at approximately 10:45 a.m. on Thursday.
Prior to that, starting at 10:05 a.m., CJBQ will air a special Remembrance Day program featuring music and stories.
