BELOW IS A SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT ISSUED BY ENVIRONMENT CANADA AT 5:51 A.M. MONDAY OCTOBER 25
Rain, at times heavy, will continue today.
An additional 10 to 20 mm is expected for today with total rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm expected as rain tapers off to showers early this evening.
Wet conditions and reduced visibilities from rain may make travelling difficult.
Localized flooding in low lying areas is possible.
When safe to do so, ensure storm drains are clear of leaves and debris to minimize flooding.
This rainfall is due to a low pressure system that is forecast to track northeast across southern Ontario on Monday.
For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry District office. Visit Ontario.ca/floods for the latest details.
Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to ONstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
