The Special Investigations Unit says Belleville Police have done no wrong in an incident in December, involving a woman in detention.
On December 16, 2020, a 54-year-old woman was in a cell when she fell into medical distress and was transported to hospital.
The officer in charge of prisoner safety at the time became the subject of an SIU investigation.
SIU Director Joseph Martino says there are no reasonable grounds to believe the officer committed any offence.
